“You should be positively optimistic.” That’s what the vet said to us after examining Lilly Lou of Julian V Kennels at 23 days after insemination by her one and only Zeus Popovic.

Now it’s still a waiting game, but we are very sure she is pregnant.  An X-ray at 36 days will reveal how many puppies she is going to have.

At the moment her nipples are huge, in fact I didn’t know she had so many nipples!  If the old wives’ tale were true that the number of nipples are a reflection of litter size, we would be looking at 12 or more I think!!

She is a little tired but the 90 degree weather isn’t helping.  When it cools down in the evening, she gets all of her energy back and the boxer playfulness comes back in full force with Bella, her sparring partner.

With Zeus being a brindle Boxer we are hoping for a nice mix of Brindle and Fawn. Puppies due Mid August so keep an eye out everyone and we will keep you informed of her progress.
