Day 31 update Day 31: It’s all about how much time they can pester Mum for milk or bury their faces in a bowl of puppy food at the moment. Then there is the standard play time just before feeding, then sleep time just after. Interaction with humans is also on the top of the agenda.
Their weight has increased considerably; they are now all either on or near 6lbs with the bigger dogs Ms. Yellow and Elias Washington being over 7lbs. They have had their first taste of outside, with a one-on-one walk on the drive way with this weekend being their first full adventure together. All at once out exploring the grounds, hopefully the sun will be out as it’s all a new experience to them. The weaning is coming on, they eat every 3 or 4 hours with food first and then maybe a little nursing if Lilly wants to feed them. She still needs to drain her milk but we do have to start reducing the amount of times that she feeds them. They like their new food but lose interest a little too easy they still need coxing to feed. The hungrier they are the better for consumption. They now love to play and we have posted a few short videos of them messing around with each other. We need to discipline them when they start to chew or nibble as their teeth are very sharp, and we don’t want them thinking they can go around chewing everything. Chew toys will be introduced this weekend, as will more water bowls and outdoors. We still have Ms. Purple available (brindle female) and Mr. Red (fawn male), otherwise everyone else has found new homes. Interested in adopting a puppy let me know.
